Emails and letters are similar forms of communication, yet they have some important differences. Write an essay (at least three paragraphs) comparing and contrasting e-mails and old-fashioned letters. Are there specific times when you use one or the other, or are the two interchangeable? Do you write letters to the same people that you e-mail? How do the rules for writing letters differ from the rules for writing e-mails? Use specific examples from your experience to support your comparison.

Letters and emails are very different. As you may know they came to be at very different times. Letters and email are also very similar. You may be aware that it takes longer to receive letters than emails. Also, emails are usually sent to different people. In this essay you will see how different and at the same time very similar letters and emails can be.

E-mails and letters are similar, but sadly not the same.letters take some time to put together, but e-mails take the click of a button to send. Letters take two, three, maybe even four days to get to where they are going. E-mails on the other hand take seconds to get to another persons computer, tablet, smartphone, and more.

Emails and Letters, they can be very simalar. emails are a more modernized form of a letter. Emails dont go very deep down and personal. they are just thrown together to tell somthing. Letters on the other hand, people sit down and take the time to right a personal letter.

The differences about e-mails and letters are that one you can do over the computer and the other you have to do by hand. You can e-mail the same person that you write a letter to unless they are in jail then you have to send a letter to them.If you work at a school and you had to get in touch with another teacher you might want to send an e-mail cause it is a lot faster that way.

Emails and letters are very different. Letters are what people used before technology. But now most people use emails because they are faster. Emails can take seconds for someone to recieve. But letters could take days to get.Like one time I sent a letter to my cousin but she never got it until a week later.

Emails and letter are very similar in many ways. They are also very different. Emails are for the computer of course and letters are not the from the computer. Letters were more popular when we didn't have computers or anything electronic. They are both a way of communication. They use to help give out messages that are very important or just something you want to talk about.

The modern day e-mail and the old-fashioned written letter are almost identical in purpose, but they also have their differences. These differences include speed, cost, and the appropiate situation to use them in. Both do have more in common than just their purpose. They have similarities like format and recievers. There is no doubt that both are extremely useful, though.

E-mails and letters both have diffrent uses.Letters have been awhile for a very long time.As to e-mals they are mordon and more up to date. Now a days you see more and more genarations use emails and less use letters.E-mails are a faster way of telling someone somthing, but if you write a letter it will take longer and then the person you are trying to get in touch with my not know in'till the last min. and it might be to late. But it would be better for the children to learn to write letters,it would be better just in case techonolgy fails.Letters and e-mails have a simailar purpose its to inform a person but they both have a special way of doing that.Although one may take longer then the other they both are simialer and diffrent in there own way.

Back in the old days letters and emails were super different. Back then they didn't have computers, so they couldn't send emails. They had to write letters and then hand message the letters. They both had different meanings and uses. Now people use emails. The reason why we now have emails is because we have computers. If you send an email it's faster rather than walking or having someone take it for you. Back in the old days if we wanted to write someone we had to walk for about 2-3 days. Then wait even longer.

E-mails and hand written letters are the same in some respects, but they are completely different in other ways. They both require you know an address of some sort. A mailing address is required for letters and an email address is needed for emails. Emails require a computer with an Internet connection. A letter requires a letter a pen, paper, and a stamp. If I had a choice I would much rather write an email because I would get a response within 24 hours. If you were writing a letter you would have to pay for a stamp and it would take more than 24 hours to get that letter.

E-mails and letters are different in many ways. They are similar in many ways also. One of the ways they are different is obviously that E-mails are way faster than writing a letter. E-mails take about 5-10 seconds to get to your receiver while writing letters take about 3-7 days to get to your receiver. On a letter you have to state your address. On an e-mail you state your e-mail address.

Emails and Letters have many similarities and differences. Emails are more modern and easier to use, while letters have are a bit harder. For one, letters have to have stamps and addresses and all that. That may seem like a strange point to make, but if you consider the reasons people use Email rather than letters, that is probably going to come up. One thing to note is that it can sometimes be a hassle to buy stamps.

An e-mail is much more fun to write but not evry one can e-mail every one. Some people dont have an e-mail adress so they cant recieve e-mails. Letters arnt very fun to write but every one can receive them. Every one lives some where, as long as you know where that person lives you can mail it right to them. E-mail is also much faster and the other person can get your message much faster. But a letter can get to more people.

Email and letters have a bit in common. Both letters and e- mails can be sent at any given time to get in contact with people. Lets say I wanted to get in touch with a relative in another state. If they don't have a phone or a computer you can send them a letter to tell them something or just simply say hi. Letters and e- mail are both types of mail. Even though one is electric and the other is on a piece of paper, they do the exact same thing. They both can also be done on the computer. E- mails are done via internet, and you can type a letter in Microsoft Word, print it out, and put it in an enveplope.

Emails and letters are very similar, but have important differences as well. For emails its quicker to email someone then sending someone a letter. You can attach photos, and documents on emails, but not on a written letter. For letters you have to send them out to the person and then wait for them to write you back, if needed. Which is a longer process, but letters are eaiser to get in touch with people.

Writing a letter, putting a stamp on the letter, placing the letter in the mailbox to be picked up by the mailman, waiting for the mailman to take the letter to the post office to be sorted and mailed to the person you have written, has always had it benefits but sitting at the computer and typing a email to the people is very convenient, it cost you nothing to send an email and you can send as many emails as you like, and you will not have to wait days for a delivery or a reply. Letters and e-mails are very similar. Even though they seem very different they are suppose to be the same. A letter is a hand written or typed message put on paper and sent to someone through the postal system. In a letter you are suppose to put who it is from, to whom it is for, and the address of the person. An e-mail on the other hand does not need any of that. Instead all it needs is the e-mail address because it only goes from one person to another.

Emails and letters are similar and different in many ways. You can contrast and compare letters by describing what they do and how they are used and what they are used with. When describing letters and emails they are very different. Also, our generation is very involved in technology and if we have technology, it doesn't mean its compatible with having an email/email address. If someone didn't have an email address/email, then writing a letter would be necessary in order to get the information needing to go to that person. In addition, I would not write a letter to someone I email because if you are emailing that person, you can type the letter in the email and send instead of mailing it through postal.

Have you ever worried about a letter getting to the correct recipient? Have you also worried about when it gets there? These are just two of the many differences between letters and emails. Now, letters are used less than email. There are many differences though between the two ways of getting a message through to someone.

Emails and letters are very similar, but there are some differences such as the time it takes to send them, what people you would mainly send them to, and how you send emails electronically, but you send letters by post and their hand written.

Emails and letters have many similarities and dislikes. Just from thinking of the way that are used and look like, I could come up with many right now.

Booth e-mail's anjd letters are good way to counimcate with other people. Letter's are good way for grandparent's or close friend's. E-mail's are for the internet and Facebook, or Myspace. Both should be used at certain times and they both are differnt and similar.

email is diffrent from letters in emails you could get them faster than a letter. And a letter is a good way to send your family pictures of people. And in email you could put notes and websites on the emails.A letter is a good way to see how inpachon you are.
