When you tslking about student athlete student is first. So what you do outside the classroom effects you in any sport. Like baseball football and even soccer. The coaches doesn't play around, so you have to be on your a game every time in school.

First of all to get on a school team you have to have good grades and good behavior. If you act up in a class you will either get a game suspention or will have to run it depends on what sport you are playing or wanting to play. Also if you have a bad grade in a class you cant play untile you get your grade up in the class you are failing. If you also get a detention while your on a school team you will go to detintion and then come back to practice and run the rest of the time.

The process that goes threw a coaches mind when it comes to making the team involes multiple things. He or she looks at your ability in the class room, and how you play on the field. Also your additude towards the game. If you act like you don't like the game. Do you think you are going to make the team?

If i was a coach, I would think about several different things before I determend who would make the team and who wouldnt. First i would make sure the player had some skill. He wouldnt have to be the best person out there but hes have to be somewhat good at the sport. Ive competitive and like to win so yeah hed have to be pretty good . Then i'd check the grades, If the player was failing then i would probably cut him, unless he shows poietential, and i know hell bring his grade up. But i can have some great athlete out there ,but doesnt know any of the plays.Another thing is i look at is behavior . If hes had two or more referials hes deffently cut. I have to have someone whos dedicated ,I couldnt have him missing practice or a game because of a detention. Also another thing i would look at is personality .I cant have someone out on the field or court with an attitude and doesnt want to learn. One of the things i wouldnt look at is politics , just because one of the players parent can buy the uniforms i wouldnt pick that player ,thats just unfair to the other players. Thats pretty much how i would pick players for my team. Thats the way i believe coaches should pick a team . i know some coaches to pick a team like that but thats how i would.

A student has to make good grades and have good behavior. If a coach can't trust you to behave during an away game then he won't put you on the team. I am really not a sports person so I don't know what to sayy. If you are not a good athlete then you will probably not make the team. For you to be a good athlete you must train.

I am not a coach or into sports, so I can assume how a coach would pick the team. When you are talking about a student-athlete, the first word is student. The coach would probably look at a person's ability in the classroom. If the person does not make good grades, or misbehaves, they have less of a chance (or no chance at all) of getting on the team. If the person makes good grades and has good behaviour they may have more of a chance of getting on the team than another person. If you are on a school team and your grades slip, then you would have to be kicked off of the team, regardless of your talent or ability.

If I was a school coach I would be a wrestling coach. I will be like my dad. I will take them to state every year. We will win it most of the year. I would recruit the best wrestlers in Georgia. I would try some people out. If they take drugs they will not be on the team. They need good grades to join the team.

Most of kids love to get out of the house and do intersesting things. Well to do a sport you must make it through the proces of tryingout. many people go out there with the attitude that there better than everyone else. Thats never true people are better than what you think. The coaches have a certaon way they let people make the team.

You have to be a good althlet. It depends on what sports or sport you are playen. Some sports will make you run if u get in troulbe, but then agiani thank every sportdoes that. The things a coah would be looking for in a student athlete would be personality, their judgement, how athletic they are, how good of a listener they are, behavior, and grades. If the athlete does'nt have a good personality, why would you want them on your team? He/she would'nt get along with his fellow athletes, they would also bring the morale of the team low.

To make a school to you have to be good at what you are trying out for.For example,If you tryed out for middle school football and you are not good at any football postition, then you will not make the team becuase there are others out there that are better than you. There where other that tryed out for other many sports but it comes down to who is the best.

When theirs try-outs for a sport and they have your name, the first thing they look at is your displine and your attendence. Then when you try out and you dont know if your goin to make it or not what I do is I give my best the first time. If you give your best the first time and you know you did good. Dont worry about weather you`re going to make it or not. When I was on the baketball team I was the onr who always the to get in trouble. Then I got tired of running sucidies and my coach could always depend on me to get the team points.

If i was a coach , there would be a difficult standard to meet. You wouldnt be able to have a grade lower than a 70. Also you cant have a bad record at school. like with disaplin and all that. You also have to have good spotsmen ship. And you wwould have to show it all the time! for eliminatons i would do it as first going through the standards. If you were to meet all of the standards then i would critique your ability on what it is your doing. Lik if it was soccor. Also you would have to be fit and in shape. or atleast able to handle running alot and excersising all the time. And you cant be a cry baby. Because that would ruin the fun for the other teammates.Oh and you would have to be able to attend all practices and games. No acceptions unless its a true family, or medical emergency. And you would automattically get kicked off the team if you you get caught doing any thing illeagle. Like pills and stuff!

Well, a coach for a school team obviously needs to look at the student's grades. Honestly, if the student is making anything less than an 80 then he/she would ineligible in my opinion. I would also check his attendance record, because if he's not attending school what makes you think he will come to practice/games. Also his other records, which may contain ISS or detentions. Students like that shouldn't be reward with sports. It would only be a distraction to have fighting/arguing during practice. Drama is one thing that should never show up on a sports team.

It will take a few things to get on a team. It mainly take alot of skill in the sport and the personality. Plus it might thake his or her behavior. If it was like football the kid has to be tough and not afraid to hit someone. Politics doesn't have much to do with sports. But it does deal with things like math and stuff. Like it deals with math by telling the distance needed to run. And you have to know how to read the symbols and stuff.

If I was a coach, making cuts would be pretty hard. But the team has to be made of the best so cuts would be nessary. To start of, I would have drills to see how familar they are with the sport. I would watch to see how hard they try, and if they have potential. Grade would probley b important, so I'd definatly look at those. If a student is failin 2 of their classes, they would get kicked off anyway. So I woud pick a kid who worls hard in and outta class. Additude would make a big differnce! I wouldnt want any student talkin back to be if I tell them to run a lap, so they would need to be polite. But overall, the main thing I would focus on is their willing to learn and play the sport. I wouldnt want them to give up because the missed a goal or struck out. I would want someone who is always encourageing the team to do their best! Those are the kinda kids I would want on my team!

If I was a coach I would choose players based on their grades. Also, on behavior. The other thing that I would look at is their ability to play the sport. If it was baseball, if they could hit a ball good. Or if it was football, if they were big and fast. Or if it was soccer, if they can run and kick. So as you can see every coach has a different way of evaluting his/her players.

Well,I do agree that kids that should be a good sport, but i also think that for kids to play sports they're average should be at a high or a certain range. Most teachers you see today complain about kids dont have they're work in time.So they go back to the copach of that persons and tell their coach. The coach try to punish them, and as you see today it doesn't work.Whats the point to let children play sports when the dont make good grades?

well i agree that all the kida need ood grades and andhave to make the team.Athletic Revolution coaches around the country work hard to instill Champion habits into all the kids who work with us whether they play sports or not. We do this because we see how important they are to a young athlete’s long term success on the field in the classroom and in life. For anyone going out for a team remember that by developing these 5 critical habits you will help yourself to get noticed by coaches contribute more to your team and become the best player you can possibly be over time.Show Improvement Over Time/Perseverance: The gains you make over the course of a season are a byproduct of your focus, passion, and attention to detail. I mention it separately because it is possible your coaches may not immediately realize the value of all the little things you bring to the table. But with the right habits in place, over time you’re going to get significantly better. And when that happens, I can almost guarantee your coaches will see it.

The best students to be chose for a team always have things in common. They are never kids failing classes. Those kids are eliminated first. They need to learn academics before sports. If they are failing, that shows that dont care for much as well.

THe process on which a coach would pick a player for the team is based on a wide varity of reasons. Some of these reasons are talent, teamwork, grades, and personality. All of these things make a great player. Many people can qualify for these sports but only a number of people can make it thrugh.

One thing that a student can do to ensure they make it on the football team is practicing. The best kind of practicing you can do is practicing with somebody you know, like your father. You should practice throwing the football to each other and going out to maybe the rec department and practice kicking. You can also get good grades in school. If you want to be on the school team, you cannot get an “F” in a class or classes. If it happens, you have to be suspended from the team until you get your grades up. One thing I expect a player to have is good behavior. I don’t want him goofing off on the field or at practices. If you’re like one of the people who are the class clown in school and you want to try out for the football team, I can assure you I will say “No.” A player must also learn to have good sportsmanship. In sports, you must always be kind to your players and to the other team. If I catch you saying “We’re better than you” to the other team, I will kick you off the team. Because being mean to somebody is being a bully, and I will not tolerate that. You will only get one chance and one chance only. If you make the team, always remember to have fun!

It really takes a lot for a student to make the team, but there are four very important things that every player needs. They need to obtain a passion for the sport, the ability to play, good grades, and a good attitude. First you need a passion for the sport. There is no reason in the world for you to want to play the sport. That is just taking up a needed spot for somebody who wants to play. Plenty of people do this. They just try out for the sport because a friend is doing it. Sometimes, they just try out for no reason.

The kind of person they were and there grades would be a must no matter how good they were at the sport. The way they carried there self and hygiene would also play a part in weather they would play on my team. Nobody wants a stinky person playing on their team, that's just gross.

The ideal player has many qualities. The player has to be well behaved. Well behaved because you might go out to eat as a team together and it can be embarrasing for a coach to have mis behaved players. Ability is a huge factor too. You can have all the other qualities, but the ability for the specific sport is the most important. Having skills, winning a game and being a good team is a possible goal. Having a player with a remarkable and overall good personality is important too. Players who have a great personality can make boring practices fun and a great season. Politics are also included, sadly. It is a huge factor in most coaches picking players that still happens today. Well-known athletes are more likely to mnake the team over a lesser known player. Coaches should notice players immediately with these qualities. People who have a bad attitude are less likely to make it also. Most likely, they will only bring the team down with no support and encouragement. A model student is all of these qualities. Having players with these qualities can make it an excellent season. Especially when there are more than one players like that. Having these qualities can get you farther than making a team. People with theses qaulities can get very far in life. Having theses qualities is a great thing, even if you are just trying out for a team.

To be on a team you have to be really good at that sport. Also to play on that team you must have good behavior like reaspect for your teachers and coaches. Cause if you don't have good behavor you can't play on the team. Even your grades hve to be good in order to play in any kind of sport. So if you want to be in a sport you have to make shure you have the ability to get in. Also it could give a grater chance to make it on that team. An oother coaches will thinke you are more reasponsible with your work. An it shows them that you really want to be on this team. So they could really get you that chanceto get on the team with out fail. That is why it make you look more reasonsible to be on that sertan team. That will even help you as you go on in life. So you have to practic the sport more and still foucus on your studies too. that will help you not be be so stressed out a lot. An you wont fail in your studies or your sport. So as you know you have to work very hard not to fail anything. An just keep going on with good work. An thatwill help you seseed in your work.

Perhaps the most important aspects a coach searches for when evaluating a potential player are both their academic record and behavior in school. A coach wants a player who has the ability to excel in both their ability to play the sport, and their ability to maintain worthy grades in school. Being able to sustain both excellence in sports and education displays great responsibility, as well as determination to complete goals. There are even laws today in which prohibit a potential player from becoming a part of a sports team if their academic performance is below average. As for behavior, a coach will not allow a person who has a record of being disrespectful on their team, for they do not want the disruption this person causes in a classroom to spread to their field. Coaches search for a person whom doesn’t replace practice with jokes, or finds comfort in picking arguments with teammates. Yet, coaches search for a person who is capable of handling themselves, and who isn’t disrespectful towards their superiors. However, many coaches are lenient when it comes to seriousness, and allow their players to make jokes or have fun every now and then in order to not cause stress among their players. However, above all, coaches search for potential players who wield both an impressive academic record, as well as an in-tact behavioral record.

If I was coach I would want a good student. If he or she was a bad student I wouldnt want them on my team. They would most likely be rude and not obey the rules, and lose the games for the whole team. That would be the first thing I would look at.In my opinion that is the most important thing to look at in the first place.

If I was a coach, and had to make cuts, it would probably be hard. I think that making the cuts would be hardest part. The five things I would look for would be behavior, ability, personality, grades, and potential. The two biggest things to look for would be ability/potential and behavior. Grades would have to be passing (As, Bs, or Cs) Its hard to keep up grades and being an athlete. I would give him/her some sort of punishment. Their personality would have to be nice, hardworking, and loyal.

Motivation is the foundation all athletic effort and accomplishment. Without your desire and determination to improve your sports performances, all of the other mental factors, confidence, intensity, focus, and emotions, are meaningless. To become the best athlete you can be, you must be motivated to do what it takes to maximize your ability and achieve your goals.

Personfly I think you have to be willing. To work your best and to have a good attitude. If you don't t5here is no way you are going to make the team. I also think that a good personalty never hert anyone. It is alwas nicde to have or see a smile. I also think that it takes a lot or hard work.let me put it this way for you if you do your best it is got to be good enough for the team. All I would do is ask for help from the lord. Now I'm not going to lie to you coaches will pick the person that's the tallest in basketball. The fastest in track. And the smartest in chess. They pick there faforits just like teachers. If you do get oicked you beater put. Every ounce of sweat hard work and blood.you do 120present. Be quick to leison not quick to speack.

You might not make the team but the good thing is that you tried and you did your best. Schools will pick the best players from the 20 or 30 people thats trying.

I don't know anything about athletics. I hate all sports. Well, I hate actually playing them. I don't know they are just boring to me, but anyways, here are the steps coaches take to know who should be on a team.

If I was a coach I would want to pick a team player who has personality, team work, determination, and of course they have to be good at what their doing. Over the week of try outs, I wouldn't want to see someone with a negative attitude. I want to see someone who try's to learn from all their mistakes. If they're rude to their team mates I sure wouldn't want my coach to make him apart of my team.

to be in any athletic activities you must maintain an A B average. you have to keep your nose clean and stay out of trouble. you can't miss a whole lot of days of school nor practices and games. you have to be a well devoted person for any sport.

I think picking someone to be on a team depends on behavior, ability, and personality. But most of all I think it depends on ability. If the player can't really play the sport, they shouldn't be on the team. But coaches should also have an open mind to different players too and don't pick favorites. Some coaches pick favorites and let them do everything.

A coach looks for students who put all their effort into evorything that they do. A good coach looks at pesonality and grades just as much as athletic ability. The best player with a bad attitude has no team or freinds just potential. No one wants to play with a poor sport who pouts if they get struck out or tackled and might get kicked for it. Coaches also need to learn as well as teach so the players have fun. A coach to bossy gets nothing done like one not stern enough.

Coaching should not be biased, first of all. I can speak from experience. In the coaching world there will be drama, fights, and controversy. There are good ways to coach and bad ways to coach. I am going through a situation where its a bad way to coach. But I came out of a situation where there was a GREAT coach.

I think that kids making sports should be fair. It should not be aloud for coaches to accept kids by politics. It also should not be aloud for coaches to coaching if they go by politics. So it is unfair for the kids that should have made the team but they dint have money. They cant help that they are not high class students.

If I was a coach and I had to pick students for my team, how would I choose? Well first: I would see who is wiling to do everything it requires for the team. Second: look for good grades, bad grades ain't gonna fly with me. Third: see who's the athlete in the picking and who ain't. And finally: have a sit down with all the potential kids that could make it to my team.

I think being a coach of any sport would actually be pretty fun. I think one of the hardest parts of my job would be narrowing down a group of kids to an actual team. I would hate cutting somebody ecspecially if I can tell they really try their hardest. I need good players though.

To join a sports team is like joining anything else in the world. You gotta be good at it. You are not going to go into to politics if you do not know how to debate. You are not going to be a musician if you cant tell an oboe from your elbow. It isn't that simple though.

a caoch should have a passion for coaching. also a lot of determination. to have a winning team it would take a lot of hard work. you'll always want your best players on the field. a star athlete should have lots of experience with the sport.

Im not sure about any other sport, but to be a competiton cheerleader, you have to be very bubbly, tough and talented! Most girls think they can tryout for competiton cheer with NO Experience. Not to be mean, but you have to be out of your mind to think that! Some coaches have a little leeway with skills, but if you have my coaches, they wont tolerate anything ugly! Your jumps, strenght, agility, tumbling, personality and behavior has to be A1! Coaches look for girls who can be view as a LEADER! Hinse, cheer "leader".

to make the team there are a few requirments that may be hard and a few that may be easy.one is that it is based on your behaviore. i do believe that this is in position because if you have abad behaviore then your behaviore is not needed on the team it may cause an unnessary disturbance and result in the loss of a game.

To be on a team you have to have good grades.Meaning that I could not be on a team.If I made good grades there may be a chance.I could probably get on a team with bad grades. That is if the coach liked me.
