We don't have many traditions in our family, but here are some. We always play football in the yard. Everyone makes food with their kid ,and presents it to the family. We also go and play hide and seek at night time. I always win. We always have a big turkey with a corn in front of it. I don't know why ,but we do. My granddad says his grandmother use to do it alot. We also bless the food after everybody comes in the house. It usally celebrated at my Auntie's house in Springfield. Thanksgiving means alot to me, because not everyone can eat alot on one day. Some people have to sit on the side walk and wait for someone to give them food. Others spend alot of time with their family. I can't imagine how the old people did thanksgiving without the stuff we have now, but theu help set it off for the next generation can do those very same traditions. I love thanksgiving, because I can eat alot without having to wait for seconds. My family means alot to me. Without them I wouldn't be able to do the things I do. I also thank the troops because with out them we wouldn't be able to have Tanksgiving.

Every year, for Thanksgiving,my family on my mom's side goes to my grandma's house. We;ve been doing that for nearly 12 years and we've(me, my sisters, and mom) have only missed it once. People that come are me, my mom, my sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Everyrime I go there, my aunts and uncles gives me my birthday presents which is also another tradition. My aunts, cousins, and uncles usually get their first since they live about 3 hours away from my grandma and we only live about 30 minutes from her. They usually leave either the same day as Thanksgiving, or the day after. My grandma is very strict about who cokks. She doesnt't let anyone but herself inside the kitchen until she's done with cooking. Also, if you dirty up her house, she'll make you clean it all by hand.

My family tradition for Thanksgiving isnt the best . On Thanksgiving we usually have it at my aunt Jan's house . I personally do not enjoy the holidays with my whole family . All we do is argue and bicker over every little thing we can think of . This is only my moms side of the family though . we only ever had Christmas at my dads familys . But since my dad left and my Grandma past away we dont see much of my dads family . So i have to put up with my moms side . Brenda is my moms mom . I dont claim her anymore for some reasons , but basically we dont get along AT ALL . Some times i cant even look at her and she always seems to bring that up . Jan grannie brenda and mom are always fighting constantly so we usually dont stay long . So maybe this year we wont have all that fighting because i dont think my om is going to her house his year . I still have to decide if i want to go to my dads or to my moms . I always hate having to make those kinds of decisions .

Thanksgiving is pretty self-explanatory. Its holiday to give thanks. Sometimes my family and I gather at my house first, which is my grandmother's house. Other times we go to my cousin's grandma's house. However, EVERY year we go to Roxanne's house at about 7 p.m. She is my older cousin, who is around 35. She is on my father's side of the family. When we get there people are just coming in. Roxanne's son, husband, and step-daughter is there of course. Also my cousin Loraine, her son. My cousin Lenny, his girlfriend with her daughter, and their son Owen. There is alot more people, but my favorite is my Uncle Greg. My dad him and argue a good bit, but I still like him alot!

Our family doesn’t really have a Thanksgiving “tradition.” We don’t really have that “special way of doing things” but we do have some things we do. Usually, for thanksgiving, we either go to my grandma’s house or my great grandma’s house. While we are there, we eat a whole lot of food. We eat turkey, stuffing, sweet potato pie, dressing, collard greens, rice, mac n cheese, bread pudding, peach cobbler, chitter lings, and ham. We also drink Tea and sodas. After eating, we always play and joke around. We take the time to play with the younger kids and make sure that they have a good time. Usually the whole time we fellowship and joke around with each other. We always put in some time to be with each other. A lot of people love Thanksgiving for the food. For us, Thanksgiving is about the fellowship and the love that we share. It’s all about the love between the family. We all take the time to appreciate the things that we have been blessed with. We appreciate our families and friends that care about us. Mostly, we appreciate the lives that we have and the safety we have throughout. Some people might not care, but to us, Thanksgiving is very important.

What does your family do on Thanksgiving? Well, my family does alot! All of my cousins come down a couple days early, and we all spend the night at each others houses. Theres ussually three days we have until Thanksgiving. So, the three houses we normally go to would be my house, my cousin, Haylie's, and Katie's. We always have lots of fun! We help make food, decorations, and more food. The day before Thanksgiving, we all go to see a movie, and then to the mall. Meanwhile, all of our dads and uncles are watching football at my G-mother's house. Thats where everyone goes for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a big deal in my family because no one can ussually come down for Christmas, so we just all come down for Thanksgiving! Plus, we all like to eat, and Thanksgiving has lots of food! We'll all go to my G-mother's church in Savannah Thanksgiving morning. All my family will ussualy leave Savannah on Saturday. So, on friday night, we'll all go out to dinner and see a ghost-tour. My G-mother is an amazing cook! So, very year, we all look foward to that! My favorite part about Thanksgiving is seeing all my family, but the best part are all the deserts!Whats yours?

Thanksgiving is not a huge holiday to me. Although it is a national holiday in the United States. It was first determined to be a holiday in 1863. When Abraham Lincoln made it a holiday. However he never attended the first Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is a time to spin time with your family. You also get to think about what you are thankful for.I'm thankful for my family and my teachers that help me through hard times. My family cooks Turkey for thanksgiving. Also geenbeancaseroll and so on.The special thing about thanksgiving is that my birthday is a couple days after it.Thats why my family calls me a thanksgiving baby. Thanks giving day is a fun time because you get to see the people you love. Also you can play games with your family.Whats cool about the holidays and the seasons is they all go together. That is what that really amazes me.Its like everything has always been in a patern sinces the beging of time.Even so I geuss thats the way things go.Thanksgiving wil always be a happy time for people but some may have sad times. We should pray for people's happyness. So they might be happy too.Even so everyone has something to be thankfull for.I am thankfull for having a family that loves me also my friends too.

For Thanksgiving with my family we travel down to Jacksonville, Florida. We go & stay with my aunt & uncle. On thanksgiving day we usually will wake up & all have breakfast together. When breakfast is done the adults all start cooking. The teenagers usually will set the tables. When it's time to eat we always stand in a circle & have papa bless the supper. The adults all sit at one table , while the teenagers have their own table in the backyard. We then stuff our bellys full of yummy turkey & stuffing. We also sneak a few pieces of turkey to the dogs . haha! When we finish eating the teenagers all clean up , while the adults all take naps. When we have finished cleaning the kids will usually walk down to the nature preserve & the park. We usually play around for a little bit & then walk home. By the time we get home from that The adults are awake & fixing desert. After we eat desert the teenagers once again will leave & we always go see a movie at the theater. When we finish our movie we head home & all watch the Macy's day parade re run & of course football. When football is over my uncle & one of my cousins usually head out & leave to go hunting for the weekend. Everyone else heads to bed. Of course though, the girls all stay up & get ready for Black Friday slaes to begin. More than ready we'll leave around midnight & shop till we drop the next day. This is a typical Thanksgiving for my family!

In my family we really have no special traditions ,but we always cook home cooked meals instead of cheating by buying pre-cooked meals. Before Thanksgiving my family cooks the night before so everything is fresh. Also at this time this is when my dad and I decide to sample to food that is already cooked. Usually my mom finds corners of the full food tray missing since my dad and I have eaten are little "samples". Plus it`s a time for the family to get to together and laugh. Even at this time my older sister is already teaching me how to cook the homemade meals that are great grandparents use to cook on Thanksgiving.

On Thanksgiving, my family always does something differnt. My mom has aloott of brothers and sisters! So we always swap off whos house to go to. Aunt Tresea is my favorate aunt, so we go to her house alot. No matter where we go on Thanksgiving, she always comes with us. My mom has 9 sisters and 2 brothers. So that makes alot of cousins! Sence there is so many of us, Thanksgiving and Christmas is the only time we all really get to see eachother. Most of everybody lives pretty close around here. Except for my uncle Gene. He lives in Alanta, and sometimes Sount Carolina, and sometimes Flordia. He moves around alot for his job. So when we see him on Thanksgiving, its a big deal. And he loves to cook! He loves when when evryone goes to his house for Thanksgiving because it gives him another chance to cook. I like goin up there to because he has lots of land. So all my cousins and me always go explorin in the woods. All the grtown ups will be horseshoes and we'll make a tree house. Our tree house usually falls before the grownups get to see it, but we always have fun making it.

But the most thing I like too do is help my mom cook or play with my family untell the food is done and everyone is ready to eat. After when we eat I go right too sleep , We can give lots too be thankful for .

Thanksgiving is very near to my favorite holiday. I may not seem like it but I love to eat. I just run it off in sports that I play. We have a tradition for thanksgiving that we do every year. M y grandmother comes and spends the night at my house and helps us clean up, cook food, altogether just get ready for the big day. For Thanksgiving, all of my family comes to my house (which is fairly big), and eats a tremendous amount of thanksgiving food! My favorite is always the mashed potatoes. My dad’s side of the family comes to my house, as well as my moms. This year, my mom’s sister brought her husband’s parents with them (which is unusual). My grandmother brings her whole side of the family with her. That’s most of the crowd, too. My dad’s real mother died from cancer, and my grandfather remarried. There in which, my grandmother has her mom, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, cousins, and her children all coming to my house for Thanksgiving lunch! I know I said my house was big, but gosh that is just SOME CROWD!!! Even though it is always cramped downstairs, me and my cousin, Josh, always end up finding our way upstairs to play some “NBA Street Homecourt”. It is one of the best games you will ever get for co-op edition! After we all get our bellies filled to the maximum, we take a drive on down to the swamp (my hunting club) to hunt for some deer. While we are at the swamp, my mom and sister go purchase a Christmas tree! When I get home, they have everything set out and ready, because they INSIST on my helping them put the ornaments and such. Every year I am almost tired out too much to do this stuff! They end up convincing me to do it anyways, though. Anyways, I celebrate Thanksgiving, for one, because of the Pilgrims who came over from England on the Mayflower. When they arrived in the New World and got settled in, they had a huge feast to celebrate (those who survived, that is)! Then, of course they did whatever and such, had kids, got driven off of their land by Indians, etc. Overall Thanksgiving is a meaningful, traditional, and very fun holiday to celebrate during this month!

We do alot of things on Thanksgiving. We usually go out to somones house and eat lunch. Everyone brings some kind of food. We bring buiscuts and rolls. My god mother brings her famous fudge. It melts in your mouth. Then we play half ball. It is fun but I don't play it. The ball is a foam ball that is cut in half. And we use a ordinary bat to play. The we eat lunch. It is the usual turkey and stuffing. I don't like the stuffing though. THanksgiving to means to give thanks to everyone and thing in your life. Like i am thankfull for my family and friends. And my life too. It means alot to have a family to be thankfull about. I am also thankfull for my things and my home. I want to thank all of my teachers too for helping me this year.

I have alot of traditions. My family fries a turkey every year. This year our family's pot had 3 holes in it. We had to go to Harveys to get a new one . It cost $70. My dad should of cheacked a week before Thanksgiving. We also have a annual leftover food fight. When we have leftovers we have a food fight. Nobody is really a winner. It is just for fun. There is usually corn, mashpotatoes, peas, cake, and boild eggs. We stick fire crackers in the turkey. We will watch it blow up at night. Then we go and clean ourselfs off. It is always fun. Sometimes we go to Tennessee. We stay for a few days with our freinds. I have know them since I was 4. There names are Mr. Bobby, Mrs. Amy, Adien, Avery, Anthony, and Andrew. We go hiking sometimes. We love to go see the mountains. My dad and Mr Bobby like to go to pawn shops. They live in Maryville. Thats really all I do on Thanksgiving.

Though Thanksgiving has already passed, I will share with you my family's traditions and what it means to me. On Thanksgiving morning, we get up fairly early to prepare the turkey and put it in the oven. Next, I get ready for the day as usual. During the day, I pretty much do what I usually do. I also watch football on TV. When it's time for the other foods to be made, I always help out. There is always things to do on Thanksgiving in my house. Whether it's cleaning up or cooking. When the foods is about ready, we set up our food buffet style. This makes it easier for us to get our food. After we all get our food, we head to the dining table. Then, we give thanks to God. After we all eat and cleanup, it's time for dessert! Then, we all scatter out for dessert. Well, that's my Thanksgiving! Hmmmm...what am I thankful for?? I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for my friends. Lastly, I am thankful for being so fortunate in life and having great parents. I love Thanksgiving! I can't wait for it to come next year! Now, it's time for Christmas!

My family doesnt really have ay Thanksgiving traditions. Our Family gathering is similar to everyone elses. We go to a particular person in our family's home, Mingle, and eat Thanksgiving dinner. I get to see family I probably only see twice a year. On my fathers side after our dinner we draw names for Christmas. Thats different, I guess. This year we did Thanksgiving a little different. We went to Vegas. We didn't really feel bad about not going to Thanksgiving with my family, because My cousin went down to Florida for Thanksgiving. I guess we all just did something different. Thats my Thanksgiving!

My family LOVES Thanksgiving! We have many traditions. One traditoin is the shooting of the turkey! This year we went out and my little sister Molly was finally old enough to come with us, well she forgot her gun at home. So she wanted to kill the turkey with a metal bat. Gosh I love my Molly-kins. We aslo have the bull riding contest, everyone in my family participates. Its soo much fun!! I love it! We also jump horses, when I was little I used to evryday, but then I moved here so My horses are still on my farm in Nebraska. We always have 3 turkeys, so every grandkid can puk a wish bone. we dont like argueeing in our family. We always eat... a lot. then we watch the football game. Thats also always fun. Then the kids go outside and decide which person to through in the tree! Its hilarious!!! Molly started crying, you see before she asked us to do her makup, I mean do it! She wanted us to make her look Snookie tan! So when she started crying all the makup went evrywhere and w=everything! My daddy even started laughing! Isn't he a good dad. I believe Thanksgiving is about shareing it with people you are thankful for. Im am thankful for everyone in my life so I love to spend time with them on this very special hoiday.

As America's oldest holiday, Thanksgiving reminds us to be thankful for the lives we have, and everything in-between. For my family, we intend to travel to Florida in celebration of Thanksgiving. We have not visited the town we used to call home for many months, and reuniting with family and friends is looked forward to the most. When we finally reach Groveland, Florida, we will be staying at my older cousin Shauna's home for the entire trip! Finally, after more than seven months, I will be able to spend time with my younger cousins D.J. and Aleigha! I don't often put exlamation points at the end of my sentences, so my excitement is genuine. Traveling to Florida will allow us to see how Shauna and the children are faring, and reunite with missed family and friends.

My family as a whole has experienced many of the worst struggles of living, yet, have experienced far more of the best. No matter how seperated we are now, we will never truly be apart. I cannot imagine what my life would be if I were born into another family, and would never in my life trade all the arguments and bursts of laughter, for anything else.

Thanksgiving is a big day in my family. Every year a couple of our family members come down, so we always have tons of food. This year my Aunt Randy, Uncle Rexy, and cousin Cody came down all the way from New Jersey. They came down the Wensday night and left Sunday morning. While they were here we had tons of fun. We went and saw Fort Pulaski, went to Tybee beach, and my sister and I got a Hermit crab.

Thanksgiving is a family holiday. My parents are divorced so I get to have two Thanksgivings every year. I spend the morning with my Dad and Step-mom. We have my Step-mom's parents, her brother and his family over. My Dad's brothers and sisters come over too. It's one of the few times that we all get to spend time together. We watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on TV.

Usually its the girls that cook, the guys watch football and talk about football and the kids play. You have to know how to cook if your going to be in the kitchen .There is always so much food. This year me and my uncles girl friend made the pies. My grandma and the othera made just about everything eles. When it was time to eat the house looked like it had more people in it tan there were because like evryone was all surrounding the food. My three year old cousin Nevaeh said grace this year. But not only do we eat but we really get to hangout. My uncle billy and i got to hangout with his cousin Kieth. But everyone calls him kiefer! My brothers and dylan played games. And the others sat in the back and talked abut what they like to call "old times". but to me there saying the stone age! What I do for thanksgiving is we wait for my family to go to my house. Then they start cooking. Also they set finger foods out. Also we play football for an hour. We sit, and talk for a while. Then dinner is done. So we eat, and when we eat we also talk. Then some of my family start to leave, but some stay. The ones who stay help clean. Which we clean for about an hour. Then more leave, but some stay. We play games, and we also talk. Finally everyone leaves, and I go to sleep.

For Thanksgiving, I do the same thing every single year. The day before Thanksgiving is filled with cooking. That's pretty much all my mom and I do. We make things like butter beans, brocolli casserole, and a big ham. My mom always makes like three pans of her special bannana pudding.

With my family at thanksgiving i have like 2 thanksgivings. I have one at my house and i also have one at my dads house. At my house we have some family come over but not a lot and we eat what they brought and stuff that my mom makes. We also talk and we just have fun being with each other. My family is fun when we are all together. It is just awesome. My mom makes her awesome food. My aunt has this really awesome green bean casserole and it is just the best ever. And it is just fun to be with my family. At my dads house they have a lot of people come over and they are in my family but some of them i don't know. Because there are so many of them i just meet them when i get there. So but it is still fun and its just awesome. I love being able to have my family there and stuff like that. They bring so much food. It is just that most of the food the people bring are not always good. Some of them are really really nasty. Because it is really old people making them. My mom makes this really awesome dressing and my grandma sweat dosen't. Hers is really nasty and it is also soupy. Its just really fun. My dads family is also really nice and it is just awesome. I just love how nuce they are and how caring it is also just so weird. I dont get how some one can be so nice and so loving that it just is really scary. So that is my thanksgiving.

Well, as many other children do, I have two Thanksgivings'. My dad is newly married so they started their own traditions. My sisters don't live with us, so when we use all the time that they're there. We cook and eat like a normal family, but then most of us go to sleep. When we wake up we leave for the Tanger outlets for black Friday shopping. Just me and my sister. When we get home, were just too pumped to sleep, but we try. The next day her, and I go see a movie, just the two of us. Hmm, all of our "traditions" are just of me and her, oh well, they'll live (:. Other then that they go home and so do I. Which leads me to my moms. We just have Thanksgiving. We cook, eat, and try to lose the extra pounds we gained. After we're all in a food coma, we start putting our Christmas things up. Other then that, there's nothing really. Thanksgiving isn't about having the best traditions, it's about making the best memories with the ones you love. I believe that Thanksgiving should be spent with your friends AND family, not just family. We all have to be thankful for the ones we love, and the best way to do that is to spend time with all of them. Start your own traditions with friends. Make sure they know your thankful for them. Tell them you love them and they mean something to you.

For thanksgiving we have many traditions. We invite all of our family to our house and have a big feast. We always have turkey, and many other things.

Many people have many Thanksgiving traditions. Some people just do nothing on this day. Families around the world gather together and feast. In some countries the holiday isn't even celebrated. I think that it should be changed.

My family eats and we are thankful for everything that we get in our life time. For thanksgiving I ate with my grandparents and I had a blast with them. Thanksgiving means to thank God for what you have and not be selfish. People who are selfish on thanksgiving will be selfish for ever. The Pilgrims weren't selfish with their food when they ate with the Native Americans. The Pilgrims and Native Americans ate together. They had their conflicts, but in the end they came together to give thanks for everything that they had.

What do thanksgiving mean to you? To me it is a time to be thankful for what you got. Also a time to think about people who don't have as much. It is a chance to spend time with family. Also time to eat all you can. It is a time to remeber the pilgrims. They went through a hard time when they came to america. There was many deaths. Food was hard to find. And they could plant crops. Then the indians came and helped them. The indian got them back on there feet. The indians also gave them stuff to be thankful for. That what I think of about thanks giving.

I can't believe it is finally Thanksgiving. I have so much to do. It will be really fun. I'm going to visit my grandparents and my cousins this Thanksgiving. It is a 4 hour drive to Athens, Georgia, where my family lives. It is a boring trip but it will be worth it. We will spend about 5 days up there. When we get there we will all have Thanksgiving lunch. There will be turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, macoroni & cheese, rolls, and tons of desserts. We will eat tons of food. Next we will watch football on the TV. Then we will play football outside. After that we will go inside and play games and rest. It will be super fun. Thanksgiving is always one of the best holidays. After the day is over all the girls go to bed early so they can go Black Friday shopping. Meanwhile, All the men are doing stuff like making fires, playing manhunt, and sometimes just talking. The next few days we will hang out and chill. We will also eat plenty of leftovers. The only holiday I like better than Thanksgiving is Christmas.

My family does the same thing every year for thanksgiving. We get together and eat a turkey dinner around 1 or 2. We have turkey, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, pecan pie and pumpkin pie. Theres more but I dont remember. Its nice to have one day to be around the whole family because that doesn't happen alot. Theres 2 really big tables. The adults sit at one. The kids sit at another one. After everyones done eating we kinda just sit around and talk. Some of the family watches tv. Some lay down and take a nap. Most of them talk though. Then after a few hours we go home. Around 8 or 9 we go back to my grandmas. We have leftovers for dinner. Thanksgiving means a dinner to give thanks. I give thanks to my parents for taking care of me. And im just thankful for my whole day. The whole day of thanksgiving is about being thankful for everything in your life.

This week is Thanksgiving so I am going to describe what my family and I do every Thanksgiving. Every year my family and I stand up and tell what were Thankful for. Then we eat. Then this year we took family pictures. We took so many I can't even remember how many we took. Then it's time for football. My cousins and I usually go swimming in my pool. But we didn't this year. Because it was way to cold to go swimming. What Thanksgiving means to me. Thanksgiving is a time when you give thanks to all the great things/people in your life. Thanksgiving is when the pilgrims came over on the Mayflower. Thanksgiving is very important to my family . It was also very important to my mom's family when she was a little girl. So I guess that tradition carried on over to our family. And that is what Thanksgiving means to me. My family and I believe that everyone should be grateful to the people who as simple as fix our coffee for us to the people that really matter. To the people we love. And give thanks to. And that's why Thanksgiving is so important to me.

Every Thanksgiving me and my family go to my grandmother's house in South Carolina . Usually all of my family on my mom's side , get together and go there. All of my cousins usually hanging around , while we waiting on the food to be served. All of the women are always in the house , talking about different things going on ( Gossip ) And all of the Men are usually somewhere talking about different things , but it's usually things men talk about. When the food is ready , we say grace and we all just eat . Kids is always first. After we eat food , we eat desert , then just listen to what the adults lecture us about " The Old Days " when they were growing up. I don't know about the others , but I actually am interested in that stuff , and is the main one asking questions. What Thanksgiving means to me is , getting together with family , and being thankful for everything we have in life , because there's others all around the world , who wish they had it like us.

Every thanksgiving for me seems to be good . We always hang out & talk about family events & how life is . It's always the best time of the year for family to join together . We always cook delious foods & desserts all i do is eat 24/7 , thats the best part about it for me . Who doesn't like to eat on thanksgiving . We always laugh about things , because i have a VERY funny family . Thanksgivings are the best . Just seeing all the food & tthings to do are just wonderful . Just seeing al the smiling face & feeling the love just makes everything so much better . i don't ever want to not have a thanksgiving without my family . It would just be incomplete without myy family . When my mom makes her cakes & stuff i always like to lick the soon , I feel just like a little 5 year old again . I Love Thanksgiving ! (:

If i had to pick a gift for someone i would give my mom abilty to walk again because she fell in broke her leg and i wont her to get better. The second thing i would do is make my dad leg feel better because he was working at the sugar factory and iy blow up and he brooke his leg i wont his leg heal so he can work again so he can pay his bills on time. The third thing his give my dad ten million dollars so he can get his self to gether so he can get house in order. The forth thing is buy my self all name brand shoes and clothes so i can look fresh. The last thing i would do is give my mom ten million dollard do she can get her self to gether and get her house settled in that wat i would do if i can give five gifts away.

My family doesn't really have any traditions for Thanksgiving. The only traditions we have our: we all eat at Uncle Chris, the family is there, and me, my grandma, and Uncle Chris cooks most of the food. This doesn't really make all the family come out. Some of my family members I have never seen in my life. Some I have but I can't remember them and some just doesn't come over yo Uncle Chris's.
