Eleanor Roosevelt has always said to do what you cannot do, to try what we consider "impossible", to beat the odds, etc... i remember one time when i actually done something i considered "impossible". it helped me learn more about myself and made me evolve into a stronger person.

I’ve done plenty of things I thought I couldn’t do or wouldn’t like, but there is on major one and that is Karate. I thought I would be too old, wouldn’t get it right, and not have enough confidence to do it, but I got it and had a fun learning and growing experience within that time. I may have been the oldest in the class, but that didn’t stop me. Sure I messed up sometimes, but I practiced in order to get it. Not having enough confidence was a problem in the past and so to this day my confidence has taken part in almost all my life.

“You must do the thing you think you cannot do," Was said by Eleanor Roosevelt. When I was a bit younger I thought I could never used proper grammar. Yes, it sounds funny, but I was picked on because I said, "Mirra." Not "Mirror." I also said "Ain't" a lot and "Cuz." I said many other words that I would make up on my own. I thought they made since and when I began to be picked on I told myself that I could never do it. It was a habit. I can't break a habit. You see, when I was smaller I would get words and thoughts put into my head. I was just a little bit dramatic too. I can still remember what I did to fix my grammar problems.

In the 6th grade, I was the most awkward little thing you ever saw. I was really skinny, I was mostly legs, and I was very shy and easily intimidated. The time I started bowling in nereves and scard. When I got the bowling ball in my hand and tossed it down the lane and got a strike I was asked if I have ever bowled before, and when I told them no they were surprized. Now that I winning first for my divison I can still become a better bowler. Bowling is my life now and this time only I am doing the right thing.

This year I made the school baseball team. All before and during tryouts I thought I only had a 50/50 chance of making the team. I was working hard all year long and finally got good enough to be on the school team. I was so proud. Once we started practicing I learned so many things I was doing wrong.

Ever since about third grade, I had gained a dreaded fear of the attention of others, as well as becoming timid and shy. I cannot tell you why I became so secluded from people, for I do not even know the answer myself. I could no longer dance, sing, and laugh in front of people. I could not even talk clearly to another half of the time. This made me very doubtful of achieving the ability to express myself in front of others again, which made my dream of becoming an artist involved with music nearly impossible. I desperately desired to break free from the cold chains that bound me into the dark ocean, for I was terrified of the black shadows.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” She meant, go out on a limb and do something you would never do. Take a risk. Risks can be good. Im sure everyone has been in a situation where they said they'd never do something and end up doing it. It can be from a sport to driving a car. Some people can't do either.

Beating the odds and overcoming obstacles begins differently for every person. Some overcome their obstacle by making the sports team or getting a good grade on a test. But for me its different. Everyday we are faced with the biggest obstacle of all: Choosing to do the right thing, or the wrong. Although my experience is general and not too specific i stand on my ground that it is every ones biggest struggle.

People do things that they don't know that they can do all the time. For me, that one thing that i just knew wasn't going to get in on time. THat one thing that i knew people would look down on me because I didn't get it finished, was the FFA Secretary book. I had a lot of work to do in a short bit of time. If I got it done, it would have people thinking of me differently than just little Anna.

Eleanor was a very successful woman, and her quote speaks volumes. She lived her life, just as the quote says! We can be as successful as her, but we must face our fears and take the leap. We are all capable of doing something new, or that we have never done successfully.

About two years ago when i got to middle school everyone would always shoot the basketballs in gym. But i never could. But since everyone else could i wanted to be able to. So every time in gym when we had a free day i would try and practice dribbling and shooting the ball. And i would rarely make it or be able to dribble through my legs. And i thought i would never be able to.

Have you ever thought you couldn't do something until you actually tried? People doubt themselves all the time. It affects their lives in small or big ways. Don't ever doubt yourself because you should always try your best to succeed. You will get a lot accomplished when you try. Push yourself because you may be really good at something you didn't think could do.

When i started playing baseball, i had trouble hitting. I was always the one on the team to get out or get walked. I never really understood why i was getting out so much, it just kind of happened. WHen our team would be on a good hitting streak, i would come out and end that hitting streak and ruin it for everyone else. MY biggest fear was being the last one to hit in the game because i always felt i couldn't provide for my team.

"You must do the thing you think you cannot do." -Eleanor Roosevelt. This quote relates to all different parts or our life. What it means is that to be all that you can, you have to exceed what you believe your limitations are. It might sound cheesy but nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it and persevere to achieve your goal.

In life we have been thought times when we thought we couldn't have done something. All you have to do is think you can and maybe you will exceed. You have to have a positive attitude when doing it then you eventually get it. You just practice and think that you can do something and maybe one day you will do it. Life always gives us though choices that we have to get through.

Eleanor Roosevelt one said, "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." We often don't ourselves about doing things we think we cannot do. Most of the time, if we think we cannot do something we never even try. The first time we do try we most likely fail, but success is made from failure. We learn from the mistakes we make whenever we fail. Trying something new can always be scary, but you just have to believe in yourself that you can do it.

Self discovery is a natural occurrence in a person's lifetime. This is when a person gets to know themselves, as well as identify their talents. Some people have their moments in self discovery early in their lives, or later on in life. Sooner or later, a person is destined to find what they're talented at. My discovery came early in my life.

If I didn't do this, I would have one of those mighty phrases. My favorite one to say is "See, what had happen was.." and I would get to zeros. In my opinion, I thought that it was not going to get done in time. Matter of fact, the night before the projects were due, I went to sleep around 12. I usually go to sleep at 10:30.
