I think it would be ok if the teacher did that to make kids put effort would be a good thing. It would be the same to me becuse when i put effort i do good when i don't i do bad so the same principles aply even if you lower what you grade with it would not matter. But it would make kids put more effort if you ask me but its your desicion.

My position in this event will be staying back in 8 th grade again. I would not be able to bring my grades up high enough to pass. I think having higher standards for the a & b students will help them enough for a good scholarship to a college

First off one teacher can't change the scoring. Second the scoring has been like that for many many years. Just because a teacher doesn't like the scoring doesn't mean it has to change. It will and always will stay like it is. It will never change. It can't change. Espicially in the middle of the school year. Then all the grades would have to be put back in and non of us would be promoted to the next grade level.

ear Newspaper, My opinion on the issue of the grading scale is that it is not a way to encourage students. I ha reasons to support this. One is t will just make students feel like cannot get A's and that it is im to do so. When students begin t like this, it is like they are givin on the class. This is not what t teachers won't but I believe tha could happen with this scale.

Dear editor, I think the 7 point grade scale is good. I think it will really help studies. Also they'll feel good about them selves. It will boost their self esteem, it will improve their grades, or it could make them worst.

Dear editor, In my opinion I beileave that changing the grading scale is a bad idea. If you change this, than that means you will Probly have a lot more failing grades out of your students. Many kids are barely passing right now with like maybe a 70, or a 71. And if you change the grading scale than they won't have a "c", they will have a "f". I understand your students may need to put in more work, but changing the grading scale would just make it harder on them.

The idea this teacher has is a good one. The grades of the children at this school are very low. I think that if you raised the grading scale some children wouldn't care but a lot would be nervous. Then if the hole school did the grade scale change then the hole schools grade average would raise. Then if all the grades rose we all we be smarter and get better jobs. When we get older there are now short cuts and easy way outs so we need to be challenged.

i dont like this idea one bit because some kids are on the verge of failing and can use a boost to help them out to get good grades. We need to keep the 10 point scale because that would keep the grades at a reasonable spot and not make any kids flunk school. I like how it is now because it gives us a chance to try and get a decent grade on a test or assignment.

I believe that the requirements should be raised. It can make all of the stupid people smarter. Because it can make them want to study even more. It can give them a motive to try harder. Many people barley scrap by now and they are just really stupid. They should be failed and left behind.

If a teacher decided to raise the grading scale, I would be sortve on both sides. I understand wanting to push your kids to do better. It's good to try harder. It's motivation to achieve hanger goals. Also, kids aren't doing so hot in school. The students that are having trouble will do that much worse because it's harder. Their average will fall. It's just no good..

Changing the grading scale would mess up a lot of things. Students to day are already having trouble at school. Their grades are low and some are barely making honor roll. This would make many of them think less of them seeing more B's and C's. It encourages us to see A's and a few B's.
