An eye for an eye is a great term for a punishment because it means that what you give is what you get. If someone stole your wallet, would you want them to get their wallet stolen?

"Eye for an eye" is a good term for determining an appropriate punishment. If someone murders another person, that killer should pay the consequences of what he did. It would make no since to let him go after he ended the life of a probably innocent person. It's like the saying is explaining how if you put out an eye for another person, you have to give up your eye for what you did. Crimes will always come back eventually and bite you during lifetime. Therefore, you deserve what you get after doing something.

I think that means like if someone take something of yours and you comeback and take something of theirs. I also think it means like if someone give you a sort of look like when you hear someone say "I'ma give you that eye to eye look". Sometimes you would hear you teacher say that. I usually that its something what a pirate would say.Or maybe your gonna get something bad that you deserve as a punishment.

An eye for an eye is a good punishment because what if someone slapped you, you would probably want them to get slapped to. People need to go to jail because of what they have done to other people. If eye for eye is karma then the people are getting it and are killing innocent people.Eye for eye is what you give is what you get situation you give the guy a slap on the face and then you get a slap on the face right back.

" An eye for an eye" what does that even mean? All this is saying is if you do something mischievous or wrong then you should repay those or the loved ones of who you wronged. In my opinion, this is a very appropriate code to live by as far as punishment. Just think about it, if your family was stolen from, harrassed, or even murdered you would want justice right. Well that's basically what this phrase is saying.

I think the quote, "An eye for an eye" is a good thing for a punishment. It has a lot of good meaning to it. It means if you take someones personal things or something that doesnt belong to you, they will get good punishment on you because they saw you. I can agree with this because the criminal/stealer gets payback on what they stole or took. I think that the usual punishment we use isnt enough because there are still continuing to do it anyways.

An eye for an eye is basically like asking for a dollar and not being able to give it back.Which is also basically stealing in some cases.Or like telling someone this happened when it really didnt happen. An eye for a eye means you have to keep your end of the bargen. And if you dont then what good will that do for you.It basically means that you cant be trusted.

"An eye for an eye" is a good term for punishment. If someone takes something of yours you have the right to take something back. Unless ya know its your parents then no...dont do that. If someone takes/barrows your jacket and dont give it back you have the right to take it, or that you have the right to take something if theirs until then. You could always just tell a teacher if they dont return it but i wouldnt do that.

An eye for and eye means say, you get you're pencil stolen. Then you find out who took youre pencil and you go to get it back, but that but that person doesn't have you're pencil anymore. So you take his pencil and you've each taken a pencil. So that is what an eye for an eye means.

An eye for an eye is the punishment everybody should use. If people kill somebody or rob somebody, the same thing should be done to them. They dont realize how much of an impact it can have on someone. People dont know what one little thing can do to a person. Whether its a big or little thing, it can still have a major impact on someones life. People dont know what its like, until they have walked in the victims shoes.

An eye for an eye is sometimes good to use. I think that it is sometimes good for parents to use it on children. Sometimes parents use it like if the child brakes something of the parent then the parent breaks something yours. parents cant use an eye for an eye all the time. If parents use that for a bad thing then they might get arrested.

An eye for an eye basically means if you do something to someone else, that same thing should happen to you. Well I would say that this would be an appropriate way to determine a punishment. Say someone murders someone else, well you wouldn't want that person to just do say 18 years in prison then go free. No you would want that person to face the same punishment that he did to someone else, the death penalty. Or at least prison for LIFE.

An eye for an eye is not a good way to punish people. I do think it is fair to do that but it is not right. It is not even right to cut someons arm off bit if we did that in an eye for an eye situation your arm would be cut off too for equal punishment. If I cut someones head off I wouldn't want my head cut off for an equal punishment. The punishment would be the same and they might learn there lesson. There is no promise that they learn there lesson but they should.

"An eye for an eye" means that what you do to someone should be done to you. I dont believe that this is a good source of punishment. In America your innocent untill proven guilty. Also if they are proven guilty then they shall be punished accordingly. Being punished accordingly could be as little as community service or as much a death penalty depending on what you did.

an eye for an eye can be right in certain circumstances. our own country does it. when people murder others, our own country sometimes executes them. I believe in "an eye for an eye" as a punishment in some cases. When someone does something to you they should have the same thing done to them. I think this would work for small things like being punched or someone stealing your stuff. It would work if you knew for sure it was that person that did it. It would show them what it feels like. It would also make them think twice about doing it again.

For how long, from what, from where, estinding to what? Most people don't use eye to eye because they don't think it is a good way to punish who ever.I think it is very accurate because it is a easier way to establish punishment .

"An eye for an eye" can be an acceptable excuse for punishment. For example if you are at home and you get into an argument with your brother about you stealing his sharpies than "an eye for an eye" wouldn't be a bad thing for him to get them back. Maybe if someone hits you, you hit them back. Things like this are quick to think about. People might not know this phrase like the back of their hand, but they use it more often than they think. Its like a simple rule that gets stuck in the back of your mind, and you don't really think about it until a situation occurs when the rule is begging to be applied. People more commonly know the situation as getting even with someone.

An eye for an eye is a great term for a punishment. Because it means what you give is what you get. There’s plenty of reasons why an eye to eye is a great punishment. A big on is if someone murdered someone you knew you would want to them to get punished the same way. Its kind of like life for a life or one steals from those who have stolen from them. But do we really have the right to kill those who have killed?

I think this is an appropriate term. Some people may think otherwise. I think so because if you kill somebody, then you also deserve to die, in certain cases. If it is self defense and in your own house, then you have a right to defend yourself. Although, if it is only out of spite, then I'd think it would be. They would deserve the death sentence.

Eye for an eye is a good policy, the other students say. Yet, killing some will not solve the issue. Karma will get them, but the students belief in death to the person, who murdered many, will not suffice. This murderer will be punished by what is in the future for them, like the afterlife. After all, killing the murderer will not bring the murdered people back, now will it? What so they hope to accomplish, they will not earn back lives of those already dead.

"An eye for an eye" is, in my opinion, a good term for a punishment. In simplest terms, it is saying that what you give, is what you get. The slogan is merely "karma" in a sense. If something personal was damaged or stolen from you, you most likely would want the same thing to happen to the person that did it to you.

No I don't think that is a good basis just because I do something to you that doesn't mean you have to do it back. One example is if I acandly brake your pencil and you brake my pencil. There is no point of you to brake my pencil first because I did it on an acandent and second because after all that neither of us will have a pencil.

The statement "an eye for eye" is a good statement to use for punishment. It all matters on how the statement will be used for the punishment. If someone does something wrong say they took something that belonged to someone else and got caught. Then the person to decide what must happen to the captive must choose either "an eye for an eye" or something else for a punishment. It matters how you choose the punishment if you use that statement to decide.

The phrase "eye for an eye" is NOT a good way to determine a punishment. "eye for an eye" basically means when a person does wrong toward you then you can do the same back. Why would you want a devastating event that happened you to happen to someone else. Many people agree with this saying, However there reasoning is not strong. All that happens when you use the saying "eye for an eye" you keep the hatred and pain alive that kills both parties.

"An eye for an eye" is a good appropriate punishment. It is a good punishment because it is like you give something to get something. You would just have to decide if you want to keep something or give it away to someone to get something different." An eye for an eye" isn't really giving someone your eye it's just a metaphor or a figure of speech. You wouldn't just say this just to say it. Most of the time you would just use it when you are giving something to get something different or usually better.

The saying "An eye for an eye" is not a proper form of punishment. This saying means that you get what you give. Its basically a form of revenge. I believe that the saying "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" explains why an eye for an eye punishment is wrong. If this form of punishment is used, then it would lead to an endless cycle of revenge.

Has anyone ever done something so bad to you that you felt like they should deserve the same punishment they did to you? I felt that way when a woman stole some food from our shopping bags. When I turned my back to put something in a local trashcan, the lady ran past with my shopping bag full of food. I was going to do something about it until I noticed that all she was trying to do was feed her three hungry little children. Although I wanted to get her back and steal something from her like she did to me, I couldn't because I really didn't know her circumstance. That is why an "eye for an eye" judgement is not a good way of determining a punishment. For one, all crimes and injustices are not the same, it doesn't support it in my beliefs in the bible, and two negative actions will result in an even worse circumstance. An "eye for an eye" punishment is a horrible way of solving an issue.

In the Bible it states "Due unto others as you would have them do unto you." which means treat someone like you would want them to treat you. Many would think it is a bad punishment to use for wrong doings. However, would you like for someone to not get punished or see what it felt like if they were you.

well to me eye for an eye means lookin out for each other or in many differnty ways crazy things. to me it means if some body got killed iwouldn't want the same. Because killing some one isn't going to bring the person back its just gonna cause more an more trouble.

I think an “an eye for an eye” is a good and bad basis for determining an appropriate punishment. Its good b/c if you were to do something bad to someone they could do the same to you. Its also bad b/c if you were to do very terrible they might try to do the same to you or something else. The term “an eye for an eye” can be used as points of veiw. It can be use as getting even or right with one another. Like in sports or games a good player on one team could get hurt and one on another could get hurt on another.

I think that an "eye for an eye" is a good punishment. I mean, eventually you know what comes around goes around. If someone stole money out of your bank account, you would want not only your money back, but justice, to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. It is also good because, you learn from your mistakes, nobody is perfect, and I do believe in second chances, but you have to take responsibility for your own actions.

I think "an eye for an eye" is the perfect punishment. IF you were not punished equally for what you did wrong, how would you learn a lesson from your mistake? Would you want a murderer to go unpunished and just get a slap on the hand, no. They are put in jail for a reason, to teach them that what they did was wrong. If some one killed someone else's family member, it wouldn't be right for them to go kill their family as well, But If you do something that extreme, you should be punished for it. However, in some cases, it is not always the right thing to do.

I think that "an eye for an eye" is a good way of punishment. This is because if you did something to someone that was rude, you wouldn't want that to happen to you. Say if like someone got in a fight with you. If they slapped you in the face you would most likely want to get them back. Another reason I say this is because if you went to steal somebody's school supplies. Then that person who you stole from would probably either get his or her things back or steal your supplies for revenge.

Well that's basically what this phrase is saying

An eye for an eye would the perfect punishment for someone. It is equal. It is fair also. Say if I steel money from someone I should be put into jail for a set period of time that is equal to the crime that I committed. That applies with if you cut someone's arms off you get your own cut off. That would be terrible to disobey the law.

An eye for an eye is a great term for a punishment because it means that what you give is what you get. If someone stole your wallet, would you want them to get their wallet stolen?

An eye for an eye is a great for a punishment. I think that what goes around comes around. If you take something that doesn't belong to you can be taken, from you and you can't complain. An eye for an eye" I a good punisment it teaches people not to do that thing again. for an eye" is the perfect punishment. If you were not punished equally for what you did wrong. people would just keep on doing that same thing.

eye for am eye means that if you do something to someone then they can do it back to you. I think it is the perfect kind of punishment. it makes it fair, and it shows that person how it feels back. Its like someone has done something to you your going to want to do it back.

"A eye for a eye" Means you get what you give. Like if you wont respect for someone, you have to show them respect to. This is a good punishment because what goes around comes around just like karma. If you do something bad you will pay the price. just like the saying , "if you did the crime your gonna do the time".
